BB Home Solutions was started by James Brotherhood.
James bought his first house at the age of 19 and there was no stopping him!
The property had been rented for many years by some dubious tenants and was left in an awful state – suffice to say it needed a lot of work!
James loves getting stuck into a job and this is how he learnt so many trades along the way with the help of his father.
Inspired by his father
It was James’s dad Bob who taught and inspired James on his property maintenance journey.

Bob trained as a cabinet maker before moving into the building trade and establishing BB Builders in 1976.
BB Builders traded successfully in Sussex until Bob retired and to this day, he volunteers at Amberley Museum and Weald and Downland Museum. Bob enjoys making wooden furniture and toys for his four grandchildren.
James says learning from a master craftsman like his father taught him the importance of having an eye for detail and completing every task with precision and care.
